ISO/IEC TR 240:2020 is a technical report that consolidates existing research, guidelines, and best practices related to trustworthy AI. It outlines fundamental concepts, principles, and attributes that contribute to an AI system’s trustworthiness, such as robustness, reliability, fairness, transparency, privacy, and security. Although it is not itself a certifiable standard, TR 240 provides a reference point for organizations aiming to benchmark or build their own AI ethics and assurance frameworks.
