The intended purpose is to enhance and provide an absolutely safe and healthy workplace. ISO 45001 is designed to enable organizations, regardless of size or industry, in designing systems to proactively prevent injury and ill health.
The requirements are designed to be embedded in an organization’s management and business processes.
ISO 45001 implements the Annex SL process and structure, making integration of multiple ISO management system standards easier, such as ISO 9001 Quality Management Systems and ISO 14001, Environmental management systems. ISO 45001: 2018 can be implemented across any sector of a working economy that enables human interaction and interfacing with one another, machines and the environment
